In short: our large lockers fit two large suitcases or four trolleys; medium lockers fit one large suitcase or two trolleys. Backpacks, duffel bags, shopping and folded strollers are welcome if they fit. Maximum 35 kg per locker.
Not every traveller arrives with a neat cabin trolley. Families bring big checked suitcases and strollers, backpackers carry 60-litre packs, shoppers leave Florence with more bags than they came with. Before you walk to a storage point, it helps to know what fits where.

Weight and contents
- Up to 35 kg per locker. Check before you pay, especially with heavy bags.
- No animals, no perishable food, nothing illegal or dangerous.
- Keep valuables (passports, cash, laptops, medicines) with you.

Travelling with a stroller or a baby
A folded compact stroller usually fits a medium or large locker together with a bag. Many parents prefer to store the big suitcase and keep the stroller for the day: Florence’s centre is flat, and the stroller doubles as a shopping trolley. The route from the station is flat.
Backpackers and cyclists’ panniers
Large backpacks fit well in a medium locker; if you also carry a sleeping bag or a second pack, choose a large one. Storing your pack for the day lets you climb the dome or the bell tower, where medium and large bags are not allowed.
Shopping bags at the end of the trip
Bought leather goods at San Lorenzo or wine to take home? Put the extra bags in the locker with your suitcase and pick everything up on the way to the station.
